If you’ve just obtained your CDL license and intend to work as a “for hire” driver, you must undergo pre-employment testing before operating a commercial vehicle.

- Actions based on results – Appropriate actions are taken based on the results. A positive test may result in removal from a safety-sensitive position, often necessitating completion of a substance abuse treatment program before returning to work.
